I am working with tinted graphite paints and pencils for the first time and finding them enjoyable, but there is a learning curve for me. However, today I painted the attached picture with just these three colors and was very pleased with the results. One thing I noted was how quickly they dry.

I already had the white and shades of gray trio so was glad I could purchase these three separately. I find they work great as washes on pencil drawing. The compliment the graphite rather than overpower it.

It’s funny, I was hesitant to purchase these (so I was grateful to try them out in a box) and I was so beyond impressed by the results. They worked incredible with other watercolors, they have that beautiful sheen to them, and I actually used a little bit of it dry to add texture and shading.

These are really interesting. They are used like watercolor in that a bit of water is added in order to apply the color. They are bit grainy, but I like the look. I find it a little harder to judge the color tone, so there's a bit of a learning curve, but that just means I have to practice more - not a chore :)
