SketchBox Signature Colored Pencil Set of 12

The Signature series colored pencils from Sketchbox are a bit muted. The colors lay down bit light, but layering is easy and brings out color nicely. Three colors were used for flowers shown. Then, I selected three similar colors from three different brands for comparison. Prismacolor is more waxy; the charcoal is a different value altogether. Signature is most similar to Staedtler watercolor pencils. Nice to have on hand.

Honestly I thought the pencils would blend better and have a smoother consistency.

Great set of pencils for on the go sketching

Fun mix of earthy colors. Super smooth color lay down. I know it doesn’t affect how the pencils perform but I love the little can they come in.

I love this pencil set. The are soft enough to blend easily and not waxy like other brands. The colors included in the set are great for urban and plein aire sketching.
