The paints were broken & chipped off inside the box, and the box was broken as well. The charcoal ones had pieces broken off the corners. Maybe better packaging for shipping.

The paints themselves are beautiful but the little thin pans could only be used 2-3 times. Would not spend the money again unless you are looking for short trip use and throw.

I'm sort of ho-hum on this because I also have a set of watercolor pans stored in the plastic disk case of a 3 1/2" disk (remember those?). They have worked nicely so this becomes more of an OK type of thing. As watercolor paints, they work nicely.

This is the first time I have tried watercolor in decades, and I am really impressed with this set. The pigment is rich and smooth, and it hydrates well and the colors mix nicely. I'm enjoying revisiting watercolor with these paints.
