I love these for shading faces on the fly and the blue is perfect for soft fluffy clouds. I used to always use ink washes but these are way easier to control and that tiny little pack of six will last a long time. Great for on the go sketching (I’d say Urban but I am an NYC transplant and live in the country lol!)

I have a set of the Kuretake GANSAI TAMBI Graphite ... I wanted to try the Derwents ... they are okay but the colors are very muted, are difficult to prep with water and I probably would not order them again.

I have this type of paint in a few different lines, this brand is my favorite.

Beautiful colors.

I was so impressed by this little palette. I've never seen anything like it at all. The charcoal can be wet with a brush like watercolors, but it doesn't pool up and takes hardly any time at all to dry. The pans dry immediately. The colors are subtle, and the whole thing is teeny tiny! It seems like the kind of thing that will last forever. When dry, it appears to be watercolor, it doesn't stay smudgy like charcoal would in a sketchbook.

Love these pans!!! Did some testing but can't wait to make some illustrations with them.

Beautiful muted colors. The paint is erasable when dry which is very cool

I haven't played as much with this type of graphite as other media and it shows but it is quite nice and now I have a reason for further experiments.

I'm so glad I got to try these. The product is completely new to me, and the quarter pans are the perfect size. What surprised me was how much I liked the white paint! Very opaque on black paper in just a single coat, something that's so hard to find in a watercolor.

I absolutely love these. The muted pallette was perfect for a wintery scene. I really enjoyed these and the biggest surprise was how the white charcoal popped. Definitely my favorite item I have received in a long time.

First time using and I like the muted colors.

Used this to paint a bat for a soon to be 5 year old. I've never used this type before and I love how they work, very good granulated color!

The colors are beautiful and easy to use. A nice alternative to charcoal pencils!

Got these for the muted colors and they did not disappoint. Goo range of colors, too. Looking forward to using them more!

All the vibrancy of Inktense pans but with the control of a pencil. I'm super happy with these pencils!

Perfect. Very vibrant

As a pastel artist who also finds enjoyment working in charcoal, I was extremely surprised with this wonderful product. It was very similar to watercolor as far as how the paint reacted. I would buy this product again an will when I run out. Great!
Megan
Super fun! Not quite charcoal pencils, not quite watercolor pans. Something all it’s own

Really love these pans. These were in my first sketchbox which was just the basic box at the time, so getting this mini palette feels wonderful. I love the addition of the blue tone, you can get some really beautiful shading. These are wonderful for practicing value work.

I didn't receive this

I love these colors! I love these for all kinds of projects that call for a darker, more intense mood. Easy to work with too!
