Basic Earth Tone Box

This month, we’ve curated a collection that redefines the potential of art supplies. Inside your September SketchBox, you will find Schmincke’s Liquid Earth watercolor in Sanguine. This is made from pigments drawn directly from the ground, allowing you to paint with the raw color of nature.  You will also receive a Holbein Artist Gouache 5ml tube in light ochre, to help you with your lighter values. 

To showcase these unique materials, you will be working on a toned watercolor pad from Canson that enhances the richness and depth of every stroke. Additionally, we’ve included a SketchBox Signature filbert size 4 brush and a light peach pastel pencil from General Pencil for all your highlight work. 

Finally, we’re thrilled to debut a brand new SketchBox Signature product: a six–piece set of woodless pastels made from nothing but pure compressed pigments and gum arabic binder. These vibrant sticks deliver great application, bold coverage, and precision unlike any pastel you’ve used before. They're harder and act similarly to a colored pencil but with pastel blendability, so they can provide mark-making and the ability to add precise details over the liquid charcoal and liquid earth watercolors from Schmincke.
